For applicability of sec30 Evidence Act
(i) there must be joint trial for the same offence
(ii) it must be a confessional
(iii) the confession of guilt must affect himself and others, i.e. implicate the maker substantially to the same incident as the other accused;
(iv) The confession of guilt must be proved.
