news.outlookindia.com | HC: Plea for Recording of Court Proceedings Dismissed: "The Delhi High Court today dismissed a plea seeking audio-video recording of its proceedings as well as those in subordinate courts on the ground that it cannot tinker with legislative enactments

A division bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Sanjiv Khanna rejected the plea supported by one of his former colleagues, Justice (retd) S N Dhingra.

Justice Dhingra had referred the issue to the court's larger bench on his last working day in the High Court.

'The apex court has already expressed its opinion that High Court has no power to structure or restructure the legislatives enactments,' the bench said, dismissing the plea citing various Supreme Court rulings."
